for King Durant de Angelosis, ruler of the Kingdom of Langington.
The Independent State of Western Glashia
King Dommic Stonefast, ruler of the nation of Tsan, has massed his army of 6,000 Dervatear within the confines of the Tenet Woods. A smaller army of 1,750 Dervatear left the confines of the Tsan Range on the 24th Day of Winter's Bite, in the Year of Our Keeper 5398, en route to the Tenet Woods.
The Chosen successfully entered a small orcish stronghold and rescued the two daughters of Baron Eiflen Gaetell. In the process, the five members of The Chosen were able to kill fifteen orc warriors, including Lord Telc'nok, an orcish ruler of some renown. The price put on The Chosen's head by the humanoids of the Shortec Range was increased to fifty-thousand gold crons . . . per head!
The Duchy of Ithmilec, located in the central portion of the Independent State, was attacked by Lord Thomic de Hessenforth of the State of Leisenhein. Duke Ithmilec's army of 1,500 regular troops and 2,000 levies was no match against Lord de Hessenforth's 4,000 regular troops, 6,500 levies, and 150 light cavalry. The Keep of Ithmilec, capital city of the Duchy of Ithmilec, and the duchy's two largest towns, Germil and Wayfan Dar, were all sacked within three days. On the fourth day, Duke Ithmilec, as well as his wife and three children, was hanged from his neck within the confines of the bailey of the Keep of Ithmilec. With Lord de Hessenforth's occupation of the Duchy of Ithmilec, the State of Leisenhein has become the sixth largest free-state within the Independent State.
The Province of Arvandus
King Tearsac of the Plains, ruler of the Province of Arvandus, called forth an army of 7,000 regulars and 125 light cavalry, positioning them along the Independent State/Arvandus border. Furthermore, King Tearsac has sent word to King Durant de Angelosis, ruler of the Kingdom of Langington, warning him that if King de Angelosis doesn't remove the Dervatear army from within the Tenet Woods immediately--for all of the Tenet Woods, including Oesch-Onarga, are within the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Langington--King Tearsac will recall his ambassador, execute the ambassador from Langington, and position troops along Trader's Gap, cutting off Langington's trading route to Arvandus and the Kingdom of Jordyen beyond. A response from King de Angelosis has not been received.
Small bands of Dervatear warriors attacked several villages and hamlets within the northern foothills of the Fillian Mountains. King Tearsac dispatched three divisions of regular troops to patrol the foothills, but to date not a single Dervatear has been captured. Six smaller villages and hamlets have been destroyed, while another three larger villages have been abandoned by their inhabitants.
Three large merchants ships transporting foodstuffs and lumber from The Kingdom of Jordyen to the Independent State were attacked and sunk by a small fleet of Arvandian warships patrolling the Inner Sea. This was the first attack of sea vessels between Arvandus and Jordyen in the Year of Our Keeper, 5398.
Torresan
The small coastal village of Alpena, located along the southern coastline of Torresan, was attacked by Zambarian pirates. Most of the village was destroyed before the pirates were driven off. Little is know of the reason behind the attack.
Kinashae
King Hannitosh of the Vale, ruler of Kinashae, led an army of 1,000 Fpathen warriors into the lowland foothills of the Tsan Range sand successfully razed an orc stronghold. Over 1,800 orcs were killed, while 264 Fpathen lost their lives.
Tsan
An army of 1,750 Dervatear warriors marched out of Rockome, the capital of Tsan, en route to the Tenet Woods and the host of Tsan's army, led by King Dommic Stonefast.
Believing that Tsan's military stance was weakening due to the conflict in the northern portion of the Independent State, a massive humanoid army marched across Freeman's Pass and into the foothills of the Tsan Range. Shortly after, over 3,000 Dervatear miners and artisans formed a defensive line between the southeastern foothills of the Tsan Range and the orc horde, and the heart of the Tsan nation.
While searching for fresh veins of precious metals and ore, Dervatear miners uncovered an ancient cavern that had been cut off from the outside world thousands of years prior. Aside from the hundreds of cart-loads of gold and gems, the miners found numerous enchanted weapons and bits of armor, as well as arcane magics thought forgotten. It is believed that the original inhabitants of the cavern were Devatar, also known as "silver-beards," ancient cousins to the present-day Dervatear.
Cannovan
Things have been quite and calm in "Trader's Paradise."
The Kingdom of Jordyen
Several merchant ships, en route to the northern coast of the Independent State, were attacked and sunk by Arvandian warships patrolling the Inner Sea.
The city of Walshemdale, located on the northern border of Jordyen, fell under siege by an army from the Northlands. Little is known about the foreign army, save that several winter giants, also known as frost giants, are within their numbers.
Miaford Commonwealth
Prince Khyle de Angelosis, ruler of Miaford and younger brother of King Durant de Angelosis of the Kingdom of Langington, asked the daughter of a local noble for her hand in marriage. As expected, she said yes.
